Almost all HT management guidelines including NICE (20 11 ). JNC8 (20 14), WHO-ISH (2003). European Society of Hypertension (2007, 2013) define the cut-off level to be 140 mm Hg systolic and 90 mm Hg diastolic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the JNC8 have raised the defining level to 150\/90 mm Hg for individuals above 60 years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
